ArcheWorld, the blockchain-based MMORPG developed by South Korean based XLGames, is opening pre-registration for its North American servers. The game, which is set to launch on April 20, 2023, is based on the popular ArcheAge IP and is a separate entity from the upcoming sequel, ArcheAge 2.
While most crypto projects have typically been launched by smaller independent game studios, it looks like ArcheWorld at least offers a functional product. Still, anyone looking to dive into ArcheWorld should be cautios, as these crypto games can end up being massive money sinks. The game should be playable for free though and anyone interested in seeing what a blockchain MMORPG can do should give it a whirl.
Pre-registration for the North American servers and the opening of Land NFT minting will be available on www.archeworld.com from March 23rd to April 19th. The Asian servers of ArcheWorld have already been live for six months, with 98% of the available Land NFTs being used by players for housing activities.
ArcheWorld is designed to be accessible to those new to blockchain gaming, featuring a “Face Wallet” developed by Haechi Labs, a blockchain technology company. The Face Wallet allows users to create a wallet using their social media logins, making the process seamless and user-friendly. It also enables in-game transactions with a 6-digit PIN code and includes a password recovery function via SMS OTP.
XLGames CEO Jake Song commented on the game’s philosophy, stating, “ArcheWorld is trying to acknowledge users’ enjoyment of the game as an asset. ArcheWorld will do its best to break negative stereotypes people have of blockchain games.”
To participate in the pre-registration event, visit the official ArcheWorld website at www.archeworld.com. By signing up with the Face Wallet and inviting friends, users will have the opportunity to receive Fandom Cards NFTs and Land NFTs.
